This legal notice discloses the privacy and cookie policy for the PROMISS project’s website (https://www.promiss-vu.eu). This notice, which applies solely to information collected by this website, outlines what personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website and how it is used.

  2. Right of access: You have the right granted by the European legislator to obtain from the controller free information about your personal data stored at any time and a copy of this information.
  3. Right to rectification: You have the right granted by the European legislator to obtain from us as the data controller without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning your person. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you have the right to have incomplete personal data completed, including by means of providing a supplementary statement.
  4. Right to erasure:  You have the right granted by the European legislator to obtain from us as data controller the erasure of personal data concerning your person without undue delay, and we have the obligation to erase personal data without undue delay.
  5. Right of restriction of processing: You have the right granted by the European legislator to obtain from the data controller restriction of processing if a) the accuracy of the personal data is contested by you, b) the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the personal data and requests instead the restriction of their use instead, c) we do no longer need the personal data for the purposes of the processing.
  6. Right to data portability: You have the right granted by the European legislator, to receive the personal data concerning your person, which was provided to us as data controller, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You also have the right to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance from us.
  7. Right to object: You have the right granted by the European legislator to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time, to processing of personal data concerning your person.

If you contact the PROMISS project’s secretariat by e-mail or via the PROMISS project’s website contact form, the personal data that you transmitted are automatically stored. Such personal data voluntarily provided by a data subject will be stored for the purpose of processing or contacting the data subject. Those personal data will not be passed on to third parties.

You also have the right to complain about the processing of your personal data through our website by contacting a data protection supervisory authority. Personal data collection and use when visiting our website

When you visit the website (https://www.promiss-vu.eu), we will only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. We collect data that are technically necessary for us to display our website to you correctly and to ensure its stability and security.

The main data collected are:

  • IP- address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Country and town where the request is made
  • Time Zone Difference to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)
  • Content of the request (concrete page) with sent files
  • Access status/http status code
  • Amount of data transmitted
  • Website from which the request was generated

Members database

Additionally, in the case of registered users – the so called “members”, who have access to a specific and restricted “members area” on the website – following data are collected by the WordPress Content Management System (data base) used by the PROMISS project’s website:

  • Username
  • Name
  • Email address
  • Role
  • Last login date and time
  • Registration date and time
  • Failed login attempts
  • Status

Those data are only used for purposes related to PROMISS’ “membership” activities and will not be shared with third parties. They will only be stored for the duration of the project.

Cookie policy

The PROMISS project’s website uses cookies that improve the performance of the website and provide functionality.

Cookies are files that are downloaded to your computer when you access certain web pages. They are essential for the functioning of the internet, enabling basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website (Member’s area). They also provide advantages in the provision of interactive services, facilitating navigation and usability of our website. E.g. they allow a web page, among other things, to store and retrieve information about the browsing habits of a user or their equipment and, depending on the information it contains and the way in which it uses its equipment, can be used to recognize the user.

The PROMISS project’s website uses a number of third-party websites and platforms that may also store cookies on your computer. These include cookies that can be placed via the social media buttons such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and also, cookies that allow us to run anonymous visitor statistics on our website, such us Google Analytics with the anonymizer function to get general information about the traffic on our website. PROMISS project’s newsletter

When you subscribe to our PROMISS project’s newsletter,  the data you provide (first name, name and email address) are collected in a distribution mailing list for the sole purpose of sending you PROMISS monthly online newsletter via email and will not be used for any other purpose, nor disclosed to anyone else. This list of contacts is hosted by MailChimp (you can read MailChimp privacy policy here). We also remind you that you can unsubscribe from this distribution mailing list at any moment by clicking on the Unsubscribe link provided at the bottom of our newsletter. Your personal data will then be deleted from our mailing list. If you wish to receive again PROMISS project’s online newsletter, you will need to subscribe again and enter anew your personal data.
